Artwork Description:
In this sculpture, the artist jokes about a second life as his golden statue. The pose and image are inspired by sculptures of ancient Emperors. It is quite a grandiose project one might think, and it really is. But it is produced as a sketch and one step from fabrication. Yet, the statue could exist but to become an emperor in contemporary art one needs to repeat the effort and situation of Damien Hirst or Jeff Koons to achieve the superstar position and fame level.
