Artwork Description:
In this geometric abstraction, the artist divided the horizontal canvas into 4 squares, and each of the squares was also divided into subsections. The colors used here are nearly all primary: yellow, magenta violet, turquoise-blue, orange, black, and neutral reddish grays. The divisions of each square tend to be more and more complex, thus symbolizing the progression and development of bigger complexity within the next and next elements. For the artist his minimal geometric compositions appear as one of the most beautiful works of his entire oeuvre, carrying near-religious feelings likewise evoked by the totemic tribal art. It is all about the creation of Worlds.
