Artwork Description:
The giraffe is a sculpture symbolizing a long-necked animal. It is simply a reused clothing hanger with attached aluminum vertebrae and a plastic tube, serving as a reminder of a spinal cord and esophagus. On top, it has a crown attached in place of a giraffe's head. Yet, it still stands as a giraffe, a king of animals, the only species with such a long neck, reminiscent of most dinosaurs. The choice of materials adds a layer of irony, transforming the humble hanger into an icon of majesty and nature's engineering, thus enriching the theme of repurposing. The colors here are white, silver, and orange.
