Artwork Description:
In this composition, dominated by the black sky we see the flight of the USSR's first satellite Sputnik-1 in 1957. Other colors of this composition are yellow, ocher, and dark red, with small amounts of white, blue, and pink. One of the few evident worldwide victories of the post WW2 Soviet System was early success in the space race.
