This composition, entitled Flowers and Satellites has a blue background filled with a variety of different forms standing for flowers, radio waves, and satellite. Satellite here is a merely recognizable famous Sputnik-1 of the Soviet Union. The artist has created a whole cycle of paintings titled Flowers and Satellites as the result of a search for really iconic positive artworks that could represent the achievements and culture of his native Belarus and Soviet Union. Certain achievements in the space race were of most positive things that could be remembered about the USSR and its political leaders.
