Artwork Description:
Fisherman's Dream is a colorful abstract painting suggesting the elements of a fishing net within. It was conceived by the artist as an immediate reaction to the work of Zimbabwean  paintress Portia Zvavahera seen at David Zwirner Gallery. In his composition, Chiao organizes multiple elements around the fishing net center, and circles, polygons, and stripes are seen to be subordinated by the central element of the multi-colored net.
